3 Things You Need to Do With Your Jewelry This Year

We’re making some New Year’s resolutions for you and your jewelry. The list is short and sweet. Take note, and don’t let your jewelry feel neglected! We’re here to help. Here are three things you need to do with your jewelry this year:

Keep it Clean

It doesn’t look good if it’s dirty. Stop in anytime and have your jewelry cleaned. Running a few errands? Perfect. Leave it with us while you do and stop back. We will clean and inspect it at no cost to you. This is especially important for items like rings that you wear daily. We will also look for loose stones, worn prongs and other repairs that can often go unnoticed. If everything looks good, you leave with your jewelry sparkling and the confidence that it’s in good shape. Take a jar of cleaner and polishing cloth with you to have on hand at home. Once a year, we recommend that you bring in frequently worn rings for a full refurbish. This is complimentary for pieces purchased here. We will clean, polish and put on a new rhodium finish (if needed).

Update Your Appraisals

The value of gold is always changing, as a result, so is the value of your gold jewelry. Should loss or theft happen to you, you will be relieved to know that you have enough coverage to replace your valuable piece or pieces. Take a look at your current appraisals. If they are over five years old, bring your jewelry and your old appraisals in and we would be happy to advise you on updating them or not. If you don’t have an appraisal, and aren’t sure if you need one, stop in. We would be happy to evaluate your piece at no charge.

Repurpose & Redesign

While you’re cleaning out your closet and paperwork in the new year, take a look through your jewelry. Are there items you no longer wear? Pieces that are broken or lost? Start the new year refreshing your styles by parting with what isn’t being worn and create a custom design you are in love with! We can work with whatever you have, and trade-in what you don’t need that has value, and put it all into a beautiful new piece you will be excited to wear.
