Custom Design
Custom is for everyone. It simply means we are using our skills and services to either slightly alter a piece to meet your desire or creating something entirely new from your vision! We provide a number of custom design services including fabricating, lost wax casting, and CAD design. These options allow us to find the best way bring your idea to life!
The Process
These steps look similar whether you’re designing a bridal or fashion piece of jewelry. The process is comfortable and fun! Let’s get started.
Consultation
The custom design process begins with us listening to your ideas. Together with one of our jewelers, we will review photos, sketches and actual pieces. We will discuss elements, existing and new, and advise you on stones, metals, comfort and wear. We will examine various possibilities of design and develop a basic sketch which might be hand-drawn or digital.
Understanding your lifestyle and vision are integral to a successful custom design, and that discussion is our first step.
Approval
Once a vision and design is determined, we will discuss the appropriate method of creating your custom piece. Communication is key as we finalize your idea. In this phase we may create a 3-dimensional wax model for your review or make modifications to a computer animated design (CAD).
It is our highest priority during this phase that the rendering is translating into the piece of jewelry you envisioned. We will also discuss timeline and budget.
Creation
In this final phase, your vision comes to life. Our jewelers will create your finished piece setting each stone with precision and perfecting each characteristic and component. They will carefully examine the details of your unique design, ensuring that every step of the process has yielded your one-of-a-kind piece with exceptional quality.

Working with Heirlooms

This area of custom design relates to projects that incorporates a piece of jewelry, stone(s) or metals that the customers provides, and often are of sentimental value, into a redesign of an entirely new piece. Some examples of this are using stones from a family member’s ring or melting down the gold from meaningful items to be cast into a new jewelry mounting.
