Goodbye Canopies

Annandale’s downtown is getting a facelift in 2020, and the initial steps of that process are underway with the demolition of the remaining canopies. Today was our turn. Things are definitely looking different as you drive down main street! We know the city has been working hard on behalf of the business owners, customers and our community, to provide a safe, comfortable and vibrant atmosphere for years to come and we are excited about what they have planned.

With all change comes a wave of nostalgia. The covered sidewalks were a part of downtown and a signature piece of our storefront for many decades. Below are a few scenes we will hold onto from this week and years past:
