Project Spotlight: Aquamarine Remount

We can’t help but get excited about new custom design projects when they are focused on a single, spectacular stone. A customer recently came to us with the 4-carat aquamarine, yellow gold pendant shown below and some ideas about remounting the stone into a new ring.

To create the new look, we used CAD software to refine her ideas and visualize a new style. At this stage, we also look at lifelike renderings of the ring to ensure that the piece is coming together the way the customer had envisioned!

Next, we created a wax prototype for review before casting the ring in 14k white gold.

The new design featured a single row diamond halo which perfectly matched the unique shape of her stone. The finished product was a stunning ring.
