Project Spotlight: Custom Fingerprint Pendant

A customer came to us looking for pendant options that could be engraved, and desiring something more unique. After discussing various options, she landed on vertical bar to be wrapped with an engraving of her deceased parents’ fingerprint. Wanting to also incorporate both parents somehow within the pendant, we used bezel set birthstones of her mom and dad’s June and January birthdates as a detail to hang freely along the front of the pendant. This was completely custom pendant. The shape was handmade and engraved here in the store. The fingerprint wraps the pendant (the unique print continues as it rotates, rather than being repeated on all four sides).

While fingerprint engraving takes some time, the end result is an incredibly meaningful. We need to have the customer source the fingerprint and provide a quality image by email, text or printed paper copy. We digitally clean-up up the image if needed and then the print can be applied to various engravable pieces such as bands, signet rings, ID-style bracelets, heart and cross pendants, dog tags and more.
