Project Spotlight: Diamond Sapphire Pendant

A customer recently came in with her original wedding ring guard that had jacketed her engagement ring (see image below). The marquise and baguette diamonds from this ring held great meaning, and she wanted to repurpose them into a unique pendant piece that also incorporated a blue sapphire center stone.

She fell in love with a gorgeous Ceylon blue cushion cut sapphire that we had on display in our store. With an inspirational image in hand, we began the custom design process. Initial designs were created and a few digital renderings were sent to her for approval. Once she approved the design, a wax resin was created for final inspection and approval.

The pendant was cast in 14kt yellow gold and her diamonds and the sapphire were set. Finally a chain was attached to either side of the pendant to create an inline stationary necklace. The finished product is a one of a kind diamond and sapphire necklace that will always be cherished!
