Jim Miller

president, jeweler

Jim joined the family business in 2001, after receiving a B.A. in Management from Hamline University, in St. Paul and Jewelry Repair and Gemology Certification from Minneapolis Community and Technical College. He also completed a Clock Repair program at St. Paul Community and Technical College. In 2011, he and his wife Amy purchased the business from Mark and Laurel, and have led the store into its third generation. While Jim provides diamond setting and overall bench and watch repair work, he also works directly with customers in their diamond and bridal purchases and custom design projects. When he’s not at the store, Jim enjoys golfing, traveling or spending time with his family including two sons.

Joel miller

jeweler

Joel has been working at Miller’s Jewelry since 2005. He is a bench jeweler and goldsmith. He is also trained in diamond grading and has a passion for rocks and gemstones. He enjoys creating one of a kind, unique pieces of jewelry. Joel enjoys spending time with his wife, Lindsey, and their two children. He enjoys sports and spending time outdoors fishing and hunting.

Mark miller

jeweler, watchmaker

Mark and his wife, Laurel, purchased Miller’s Jewelry from his parents, Lee and Doris Miller, in 1978. Together they operated and expanded the business for over 32 years. Mark continues to work in the store as a bench jeweler and as the primary watch and pocket watch repairman. He is a licensed watchmaker and gemologist. He enjoys exchanging stories and working with customers at Miller’s. Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his three children and four grandchildren. He in an avid outdoorsman and likes to golf, hunt and fish. He and Laurel also enjoy traveling and escaping Minnesota winters for warmer climates.

Katey Floistad

sales, custom design

Katey started with us in 2012. She is a 2018 graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth with a major in Graphic Design. A cheerful and knowledgeable presence in the store, she is always happy to help customers. An artist with a savvy sense of fashion and exceptional eye for design, her appreciation for the craft of jewelry creation shines in her role at Miller’s. Katey began working with us during her high school days at Annandale, and is now with us full time assisting customers, designing jewelry, and coordinating our marketing and social media platforms.

Deb Meuhring

sales

Deb has worked in sales at Miller’s Jewelry since 2002. More than anything, she enjoys working with our customers. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family. She and her husband, Bill, have three kids and two grandchildren. She enjoys gardening as well as riding snowmobile and motorcycle. You will also catch her working at The Waterfront restaurant on Clearwater Lake, a local favorite.

Mary Alberg

office manager

Mary has been working at Miller’s since 1997. Mary is continuously working to keep the store organized and running smoothly. She oversees inventory with patience and detail, handles engraving and also does our pearl stringing. When she’s not at Miller’s, Mary enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband Greg and daughter Kate.

Donald Strand

clock technician

Donald started part-time with Miller’s in 2022. He handles all clock repair in the store as well as traveling on-site to repair larger clocks in homes and businesses. An Annandale native, he has been repairing timepieces for five years and is experienced in all types of clock repair.

Jaimie Van Zoest

jeweler

Hailing from North Dakota, Jaimie joined the bench team at Miller’s in December of 2023. With a background in jewelry repair and a strong interest in gemstones and minerals, she is contributing to our general bench repair work and also infusing her stone knowledge into custom projects. Jaimie, her husband Derrick and their dog Lucca enjoy traveling, camping and rockhounding – and just in general being in nature.

Amy Miller

marketing

A creative at heart, Amy enjoys creating and overseeing Miller’s web presence and print marketing. She photographs jewelry, designs marketing materials, and collaborates with Katey on various social media platforms. She is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, with a B.A. in Print Journalism and a minor in Graphic Design. When not at the store, she loves being with Jim and their two sons, preferably on some sort of adventure outside.
